Building a special log saw

A special Log saw is design to consisting of a hard blade with a toothed edge. It is used to cut through relatively hard material, most often wood. The cut is made by placing the toothed edge against the material and moving it forcefully back and forth or up and down. Special log saws are mostly used for industrial uses only.

Kilns

Drying wood in an insulated kiln and circulating air over it is called kiln drying. For most uses of wood, all of the free water should be removed. To accomplish this in a shorter period of time kiln drying is recommended.

Commercial wood drying operations sometimes use pre stacked timber with a much lower moisture content and will deliver fast drying times.
